What if the wisdom of decisions by the community turns out to be better than just a few experts?

As part of the Better Together program, we’re experimenting with new ways of allocating funding to community programs. At the core of Better Together is the belief that the citizens of South Australia need to be involved in the decisions that affect their lives.

Rather than a few experts granting funding, what if hundreds and thousands of everyday South Australians participated to explore and understand the social issues, the available solutions and then had a say in where the funding should go?

This thought-provoking and outcome focussed morning of keynote speakers, panel discussions and interactive workshops explored an innovative new approach to empower South Australians in the matters that affect their lives.
